申请TUM的Msc. Informatics / Msc. Informatik专业，在准备面试时，很多人不知道准备哪些问题。网上搜集来了一些前人的机经：
机经1：

I have attended skype interview of MS in Informatik in TUM. They asked me below questions:

1: Why Germany, Why TUM, and specially why MS in Informatik where as you completed your bachelors from Electronics and Communication Engineering?

2: What all modules you have covered in Mathematics in your Bachelors?

3: Some questions on Operating System and Database.

Again this is depend on who is taking your interview what I believe as my interviewer was from Operating System Background.

4: What specialisation you are interested to opt for in your masters and why?

5: What do you know about those modules?

6: As I have experience working in IT domain, he asked questions related to my work like, what you did in your project and what all things you know?

7: Are you ok studying in Munich as it is a very expensive city to live and few such lite questions as well.

8: What is your vision, what is after Masters?

9: What do you know about weekly class structure of TUM and how comfortable you find yourself to fit yourself in that schedule or structure?

9: He asked me if I want to ask anything back from him? I believe this is also an important question to mention because it shows the interest level of the student in TUM.

Hope this will help people in future who will get interview call from Universities like TUM or so.

EDIT: I got selected.. Cheers..

Note: I come in contact with many people who had their interview and got selection into TUM and surprisingly did not met a single rejected person.

So guys, be confident; you can also crack it.

I had a Skype interview this week and they asked me these questions:

1. Why TUM? (I mentioned that Munich is an IT hotspot and there are many great companies there in my answer and he asked me If I can name some of those companies. So be ready to answer any questions about your own answer.)

2. Why do you want to obtain Masters degree?

3. What field are you interested and want to pursue as your specialization?

4. When I answered Software Engineering to the previous question, He asked me if I know the courses related to this field at masters.

5. What makes you stand out of your classmates?

6. He asked me if I know any sorting algorithms and after I named the algorithms He asked me to explain the Quick sort and its time complexity? He asked me why do we use quick sort knowing its time complexity is n^2?

7. explain TCP/UDP protocols.

8. Does HTTP protocol use TCP or UDP for its connections?

9. When we enter an URL, How do we know the IP address of the host?

10. What is compiler? explain the steps of its process.

11. What is deterministic and non deterministic automata?

12. Explain NP-hard or NP-complete?

13. He asked me about some kind of firewall and how does it protect our connections?

14. He asked me about symmetric and asymmetric cryptography.

15. How much does it cost per month to live in Munich?

16. Finally, he asked me if I have any questions to ask.

PS: The professor who interviewed me was from Network Architecture background.

EDIT: I got admitted. YAYY! I couldn’t answer couple of academic questions and I was so worried. But yesterday I got my admission letter. So don’t worry about the questions that you cant remember the answer and be confident.
