Position Summary: TheNeuroscience Center at the Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center(LSUHSC) in New Orleans is seeking motivated scientists with PhD or MedicalDoctor (MD) degree with expertise in biomaterial, biological, medical, orbiochemical field to fill Postdoctoral Fellow and Visiting Scholar positionsfrom now to coming years.

Our laboratory studies biomaterials(nanoparticles and hydrogels), regenerative medicine, stem cell biology, burninjury, wound healing impaired by diabetes or aging, skinbiology / dermatology, peripheral neuropathy, pain, neuro-degeneration,inflammation, leukocyte biology, and pharmacology using animal and cell-culturemodels and comprehensive state-of-art facilities including mass spectrometryfor cellular and molecular biology and neurosciences. We also studyAlzheimer’s disease.

Ourgoal is to identify mechanisms underpinning the chronic wound healing,inflammation, neuropathy, neuro-degeneration, and develop therapeutic anddiagnostic leads and biomaterials to treat these diseases.
